RAID 0 data loss? How to prevent consequential damage

Keep calm in case of RAID 0 failure. hasty decisions can lead to fatal damages and irreversible data loss of RAID0 systems. Therefore it is crucial to keep calm in order to prevent consequential damage. Our experience shows: the more unprofessional recovery tries were attempted upfront, the more effort is needed for a recovery.
Do not power on your RAID 0 Storage The failure of one hard drive already leads to an offline RAID0 storage. In order to not further worsen the result of the data recovery, we strongly advise you to not power on the affected array in order to prevent further - and maybe even fatal - damages.
Do not swap or replace any hard drive. Since a RAID 0 array does not have any redundancy, forcing the RAID0 online can destroy the remaining RAID configuration and will most likely lead to irreversible data loss.

Your RAID 0 is offline? Common reasons for data loss!

A single hard drive failed. The by far most common reason of an offline RAID0 is a defective hard drive. Even with only one hard drive missing, there is no more access to the data.

Defective RAID 0 controller. A defective RAID 0 controller can lead to a failure of the server or NAS system. This happens if bugs, firmware errors or defects in the software occur.

Kann man nur weiterempfehlen

Durch eine Stromausfall wurde eine Festplatte in einem NAS beschädigt, welche leider im RAID 0 Verbund (2 Platten) konfiguriert waren. Da das sehr unvorteilhaft war, und die fehlerhafte Platte nicht mehr erkannt wurde (durch externen Festplatten Adapter bzw. im NAS selbst als Fehlerhaft erkannt wurde), zu Attingo gebracht. Es konnte eine vollständige Datenrettung durchgeführt werden. Preislich sicherlich etwas gehoben, aber man merkt von Anfang an, dass man hier mit Profis zu tun hat.
