iSCSI

iSCSI is the abbreviation for the Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) with the prefix "Internet"; iSCSI facilitates data transmission on the intranet (network). It supports storage management over long distances to form SAN (Storage Area Network) in order to be able to transfer data over the Internet within the LAN (Local Area Network / WAN (Wide Area Network). SCSI commands are transmitted over the network (IP ), which enables decentralized retrieval and storage of data or completely location-independent access to virtual machines.
