Adaptive Parameters

The adaptive parameters of a hard disk are the values that are written into the firmware section of the respective data carrier for each individual during production. These include the correction parameters of the read/write heads and the error tables (P list, G list). Depending on the type of hard disk, the firmware itself is partially saved on thePCB (EPROM) and partially on the ferromagnetic magnetic disks themselves.
